RECIPE: “Navy Bean” & Bacon Soup
15 oz can Black soy beans
10 oz can Condensed chicken broth
5 oz Water
8 oz Tomato sauce
5 slices bacon
2 tsp onion powder
Salt & Pepper to taste
Blend 1/3 of beans in a blender with all other ingredients and process until smooth.
Pour mixture into a pan, add remaining beans and simmer for 20 minutes and serve.
Garnish with sour cream, chives, crunchy bacon bits, etc.
For added richness and flavor, stir in 2 tablespoons of bacon grease or butter.
